| As of July 1, 2004, Union Planters Bank, in Memphis, Tennessee, has merged with Regions Bank in Mongomery, Alabama. The combined company will be called Regions Financial, with approximately $81 billion in assets. The mortgage division will continue to operate as Union Planters Mortgage for the next few months. What all this means to the mortgage division, is added strength and stability, two important qualities necessary to survive in this industry.
