  Lender Implementation Specialist

The Lender Implementation Specialist?s primary responsibility is to setup all customer related data to facilitate the complete implementation of a Precision client. This is accomplished through the use of internal systems and tools and expert business knowledge of the mortgage industry as well as Lion?s products and services. Mastery of these tools, combined with a comprehensive working relationship with development and testing teams will be required to achieve needed results. Additional skills involve project management, testing, quality assurance, and customer relations as needed.

Required Qualifications / Skills

  • 2-5 years of Project management and working knowledge of Project management software/tools
  • 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance and software testing.
  • 1-5 years of experience working within the Mortgage Banking industry
  • Problem solving and analysis skills required.
  • Good communication and social skills required (Documentation, Verbal).
  • Works well in a team environment that shares responsibilities
  • Knowledge of software, websites, and internet concepts and applications

Additional Desirable Qualifications / Skills

  • Leadership and Mentoring Experience
  • College Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Source Safe, Visual Studio .Net, Code Installations\deployments
  • Related experience in a software based technical support position a plus
  • Mortgage processing, underwriting or Secondary Marketing experience a plus

Software Engineer

Come join our team to develop web based software applications for the mortgage services sector using cutting edge tools and technologies. Development will follow common industry practices of analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance\production support. This position also must interact in team settings with co-workers and other departments including business units, testing, technical operations, and customers. Teamwork emphasis on excellence and active participation in the continuous improvement of the development department.

Required Qualifications / Skills

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related degree
  • 3+ years of hard core web development experience on the Windows platform using IIS
  • Proficiency programming in C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net
  • Strong client-side skills ? such as CSS, DHTML, HTML, Javascript, and page layout
  • Extensive knowledge of relation database design, stored procedure creation, and query building using Oracle (SQL Server a plus)
  • 2 years experience with XML and XSL
  • Fluency with Visual Studio .Net development editor
  • Familiarity with structured source control using Microsoft Visual Source Safe
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 2000, 2003 Server
  • Working knowledge of build processes and code installations\deployments using automated scripts and InstallShield

Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Perform analysis, create specifications, and design new features, products, and tools for the mortgage industry
  • Follow Lion?s Software Development Life Cycle process in developing and maintaining software products.
  • Develop, maintain and support applications on Windows using appropriate technologies
  • Test developed applications for accuracy, efficiency and stability.
  • Support deployment of application into production and maintain applications after released.
  • Coordinate with other team members to assist on a variety of other development, departmental and corporate needs and projects.
  • Continual focus on developing business knowledge, product\feature expertise
  • Providing project management support, scheduling of tasks, and training of staff
  • Self managing your tasks and assisting others to achieve a common release\goal in a timely fashion
  • Using Source control to label, package, and deploy applications utilizing best practices procedures\techniques.
  • Assist on customer support issues to resolve any application issues and/or errors.

NT Systems Administrator

Join a fun fast growing technology driven company. Lion Inc., a provider of advanced business solutions for the mortgage industry, is looking for a NT Systems Administrator to add to the team in our San Rafael office. Good working environment in casual office with competitive salary, paid vacation, medical, dental, vision, life and 401K.

This position will support web sites and internal applications that run on Microsoft operating systems including NT 4.0, Win2K and Win2003 and to perform systems administration duties for Dell Servers in 24X7 COLO as well as for test and pre-production environments. Must be able to implement systems changes, resolve systems performance, capacity, replication and other issues and work with developers and software engineers.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related degree.
  • Min. 4 yrs. NT Systems Administration experience
  • Experience with Dell Hardware.
  • Experience with MSCS and WLBS configurations.
  • Experience with IIS.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical staff to resolve problems.
  • Strong documentation skills are required as well as the ability to work in a fast paced development environment.
  • Organized planner with time management / prioritization and multi-tasking skills. Must be exacting and have strong sense of urgency.
  • Must be an expert on best practices for systems maintenance, security management, backups, failure recovery, etc.
  • Must be a self starter and effective problem solver.
  • Must be able to work after hours and holidays as needed for on call support and systems maintenance.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Experience with SQL Server system administration, a plus.
