IMPORTING A LOAN APPLICATION FILE FROM BYTE, CALYX, CONTOUR OR GENESIS
If you use Byte?s Qualifier Series,
Calyx?POINT? for Windows, Contour?s Loan
HandlerTM or Genesis
2000?for Windows, you can find detailed instructions by
clicking here. These are Microsoft Word? and Adobe? Pdf
documents suitable for printing and keeping for reference. As a
consequence, they may take a minute or so to download.

File Transfers using other Loan Origination Systems
Important: Before importing a 1003 file into LION, you must first export the casefile out of your loan origination system and save it to a disk or on your hard drive in the .fnm format. Refer to the Desktop Originator User's Guide for details.
- From the top toolbar of the 1003 Manager, click on the "Import 1003" tab.
- Click on "Browse" to select the borrower.fnm file you wish to import. The File Upload dialog box appears.
- Select the file you wish to import, then click on "Open".
- Click on "Upload File".
- Once the import process is complete, the borrower's name and social security number appears in the 1003 manager.
- To see the complete 1003, click on the borrower's name.
Exporting a casefile
- From the 1003 Manager, locate the borrower whose file you wish to export.
- Click on the down arrow next to the Utility Menu box, then click on one of the "Export" options.
- Click on "Click Here to download the FNMA Ver x.0 flat file", if the "Save As" dialog box doesn't appear.
- Choose the location where you wish to save your file.
- Follow the export steps for your system.
